Re: Extended warranty
I purchased my extended warranty from my credit union. It cost me $1263. It expires 01/28/2016 and was for 100,000 miles with $100 deductible and started when factory warranty ended. My in-service date was Jan 10, 2007. I have had it on other cars and they paid without question. You can take it anywhere for repair which was/is a big plus for me. It is a totally comprehensive plan very much like the Chrysler Max plan. It even includes road side assistance, substitute transportation, etc. If Chrysler goes south you are still covered. My car has a lifetime warranty on the engine from Chrysler but read the fine print on the Chrysler warranty. My drivetrain, etc. is ONLY covered up to the value of the car. So as the value goes down replacing an engine, tranny, etc. may be an issue. Under the extended warranty I do NOT have this restriction for repair.
Hope this helps. Oh! The warranty is with ASSURANT Solutions thru my credit union. Car was NOT financed. You do not need to have a loan with them to buy the car warranty from the credit union.
Shop around.
