I am in the testing stages of the new Memory Trac and ESP Module. This module will change the behavior of the traction control switch so that all model years operate in the same manner that the 2004 models do that pressing the UP side of the traction control switch will only disable the traction control and likewise the Down side of the traction control switch will only enable the traction control. This can be seen in the beginning of the video below. This module also has a built in memory that will return the traction control to the same state it was in previously before being shut off. If the traction control was disabled, when you start the car, it will automatically turn off. If it was enabled, it will remain on. It also features a selectable negative output that can be used to the ESP. The procedure for this was developed by Woody and can be found
HERE. The Memory Trac and ESP Module handles this with a negative output on the module that can control a relay instead of a rocker switch. This allows the entire installation to be hidden beneath the center console and without drilling any holes for switches to retain a clean and factory look. To enable this negative output, you must hold the UP side of the switch for approximately 10 seconds and wait for a tone at which point the negative output is activated. This output will stay activated until either the vehicle is turned off or the DOWN side of the traction control button is pressed. The negative output will NOT activate again at startup regardless of the last state it was in when the vehicle was turned off and you must press and hold the UP side until you hear the tone each and every time you want to activate the negative output.
Here is a brief demonstration video.
