What has been removed?? The wing, the rotors and wheels? Possibly the seats weigh slightly less, but that is not that much weight. Not enough to make a big difference IMO. Also, if they plan on driving at higher speeds, they would be taking a risk without a functional wing.
Assuming that the wing isn't functional of course.....
