Actually, I have given the dealership exactly the credit they deserve. If you look at the cars this dealer is selling and has sold; you will notice that this is a high end dealership that has Crossfire history. They may not have had 100% knowledge of what they were getting into but this was not there first Crossfire and stating that the car was a 1 of 200 Black Max Special Edition is not exactly keeping it clean. I agree the dealership is just as screwed as the next buyer, but that is the chance you take when you buy at low priced dealer auctions. It's also the buisness of how they make their profit and why they have such a low standing in the world of honor and integrity. In my opinion they should be the ones who get stuck with this lemon, or at least tell the truth and sell it for what they paid; which in my estimate is about what it's worth. Continuing to lie now that they have been informed of the truth is not buyer beware! Give them a call and then make a statement about their actions.
I'd buy the car for about 5,000 and part it out completely. Hell, I'd probably pay 5,000 just for the engine and trans. Completely worth it, but not 17,000 or anywhere near that.
