If you indeed had a differential failure similiar to mine you would also notice when you park on uneven surfaces the car might roll a few inches forward or backwards. An easy way to test is just have the car lifted up and if you can twist the axle clockwise or counterclockwise then most likely your pin broke as well and has begun twisiting the pinion inside the differential.



test it out and tell me if you have any twist/play in the axle when the car is parked.

Mine was luckily still under warranty and is being rebuild by a company called Dahmer powertrain INC. no personal experience with them but they were picked because they are close to where i live and gaurantee their work with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty at a fraction of what a full rearend from the factory would of cost.
