I have 33k on my roadster and the fronts are a little more than 1/2 worn and the rears are almost to the wear bars -- replacement planned next summer. My SRT6 has 14k and all four have excellent tread, even with occasional tire spinning. My son's 2007 has 13k miles and the tires look new. All have the all-season Contis.
It sounds like a defect or you've been burning out and sliding thru corners more than you remember,
