The door pulls are 2 piece affairs that snap together (feel the seam?) it covers one of the bolts that hold the door panel to the door. I don't see how a single piece of leather will work and still allow you to access the bolt as well. If made with two pieces they would have to be as thin as cigarette paper to fit in the seam where they snap together, I don't think leather comes that thin.
