Gear oil stinks becauseof the additives. At 12,000 I changed mine when I put the Limited slip in and after checking it I saw nothing black and after many more hours of hard driving I rechecked it to see honey color.

BTW when I was in there I added a magnet to the housing, its a woody thing for security. Belts and suspenders you know the OLD ONES...............

OH yeah I added the posi additive to the rear to assist the LSD and it seems to assist the operation.
