I blocked the exhaust and plan to add the battery tender soon. When I put the car in the garage, I noticed the “check engine“ light was on. This has happened once before when water got in where it does not belong. The problem was resolved after a day in the sun so I backed it out and left it in the driveway.
Yesterday, while driving my Jeep home, listening to, coincidently, the Eurythmics, between cuts when there was a lull in the loud music; I heard my exhaust pipe dragging. That explains the glare of the police man I drove by - I was not speeding.
Life was so much easier when I lived with a man who could not cook so he was happy to take care of the cars. Maybe I should start trolling for a husband. I am a modern woman, often called a feminist and quite capable of taking care of myself but some days…it's difficult.
So I reinstated full coverage on my Crossfire and the damn “check engine” light is still on. No "Auto Zone" in town...
Sounds like you need a man that loves accounting as well, because a quick welding job at the muffler shop costs way less than bringing the full-coverage insurance back from the dead. Just saying...
