Does aynone know where I can purchase an extra oil filter cap assembly for quick and easy oil changes? I can't find it listed on any company's auto parts list. The Mercedes dealer here in Fort Washington, PA will not service a Crossfire. The service manager said he could not bring up anything about the Crossfire on his service computer.
I've been buying oil from Wal-Mart for several years now. I've looked at 3 different stores in my area and none of them carry a 5 qt container of Mobil 1 0w40. The pricing above makes me think the oil might be Wal-Mart's brand of synthetic, which typically sells for $5.99/qt in local stores around me. (Not saying it is or isn't; just stating what I see here in SC stores. If it is Mobil 1 in a 5 qt container, consider yourself lucky and I'm jealous!) I've been using Wal-Mart's synthetic in my vehicles for several years and never had any issues. And the last time I researched the source of Wal-Mart's synthetic, Mobil had the contract for Wal-Mart. So Wal-Mart synthetic is a variation of Mobil 1 most likely. Is it exactly the same? Who knows. But if it is, Wal-Mart gets a huge price break.
