Anyway, decided to have a little fun today since it didn't really matter what came of the rear tires so I did a little sliding around in a vacant parking lot just to experiment with the car's limitations, etc. Turned off the TC, padded the brarke, and blipped the throttle. I went into a spin but the traction control (which is turned off, mind you) kicks right on in and kills the gas.
Not that this is something I do regularly, but why does it still kick in like this?
Thanks! I'll let everyone know how i like the Michelins

I think it will still kick in if the spin is excessive. It hasn't hampered getting good burn-outs at the track though. I hate the way it kills your power so abruptly- I felt like a mule kicked me in the back the other day when it killed my power as I was accelerating- BAM power off! Though I'm not sure if it's supposed to work that way- maybe it's another issue. lol Either way I couldn't reproduce it with the TC turned of (ps...and YES the IC pump has already been preemptively replaced)
