Re: Chipped windshield Opinion
I just had a chip repaired about a month or 2 ago. The spouse of one of my wife's co-workers has a glass repair biz - charged me 50 bucks for about an hour & a half of labor - & it didn't look like something I personally would like to tackle.
He used a tiny drill to open the chip & then, using some kind of special polymer, carefully weeped the stuff through the chip. Then he set what was basically a black light over the now patched chip & waited for it to cure.
Time consuming & exacting work. Unless you know exactly where to look the chip is invisible.
Now, that being said, I suppose if you're willing to give it a shot go for it. Somewhere on the web there has to be a primer of sorts for this job.
Good luck!!
