It doesn't make sense that one disk works fine while the other one doesn't. Does anyone have originals that they can make copies of? Another note worth mentioning? Both disks after burning have a lot less data on them. Disk 1 (the one that keeps coming up error) has 528MB (554,598,400 bytes) with 6 files total and disk 2 has 396 MB (416,245,760 bytes) with 6 files total. Can someone confirm these numbers? I am using Nero9 and am following the instructions to the letter. I even tried re-downloading the .iso files and doing the whole thing again (both sets of files had the same exact file size) so I do not think its a matter of a corrupted file.
Am looking for someone who has made successful disks to compare to. Not sure if the files are correct, the total bytes are all there, or if the file names are different in the disks. Anyone have a clue?
I can confirm that your file number of six is correct for both disks and the total for the MB's and bytes are exactly correct when compared to an East disk and three West disks, two copies and an original.
You have to calibrate the unit using your local disk (#1 East), this could be your problem, have you done that? If not insert #1 disk, turn on the navigation and take a drive until it calibrates itself. Nothing works until it is calibrated, I assume you are on the East disk, Carolina should be.
Do you have the Instruction Manual?, if not it can be downloaded from the same thread the disks are to be found in.
Forgive me if I have said things you already know.
I burnt my disks (CD-R) from this site and I have two disks (CD-R) given to me by bluecoupe who also used this site and they work just fine.
You purchased a new car with navigation, why didn't you get the disks? If it was me I would insist they got them for me. You paid for nav and you cannot use it because it lacks disks., where is the logic in that? They probably ended up on ebay. They can get them, unless they are out of business.
