Have not gotten to any "calibration" point because it does not make it through disk one (yet). I thought calibration was after the unit was set up with both disks, I was going to program a local town and drive there. Am I wrong in that assumption?
It has to calibrate itself, it cannot be programed to go to a town if it has not calculated where it is.
That would be like putting you down at some unknown place somewhere in this world with a map and telling you to go home, you would not know which way to go until you found out where you were.
If you are in a garage or an area where the antennae cannot get a signal you will not get it to work, as it cannot get satellite signals.
I am not an expert on this nav unit, I fly by the seat of my pants.
