Default Re: Seat Exchange 2005 to 2006 with power adjust

Be sure to disconnect the battery. The airbags are wired into the seats. They have what Chrysler calls a simulated sensor As far as I can tell this is just a wire that detects if the seat belt is buckled. It would be worth tracking this down because it could affect the airbag deployment. Another place to look for seat wiring is under the passenger seat, pull up the carpet and the foam under the carpet (great place to smuggle diamonds) I have only done this on the passenger side so I do not know if the same is true for the drivers side, but I followed wires there from the power seat. Please be careful with anything that involves the airbags. They can go off when you do not want them to, or not go off when you do!
