As the oil is checked with the engine stationary all the time using the dipstick this really proves nothing. I stand by my statement in post #3 but specifically add oil trapped in the filter. The line from the oil pump I believe is fitted with a one-way valve, so oil past that point is trapped except oil that is subject to gravity which pulls it beyond the filter and joins the oil subject to the leak down. As air has to enter the lines to replace the oil, the leak down of oil could take a very long time and not be apparent at the dipstick until much much later.
