We hate the English! Hating the British would be hating ourselves as British is the collective term for anyone from the UK (Scotland, England, Northen Ireland and Wales). The Scots and the English have a long standing disregard for each other - the same as most countries do for their nearest neighbour. If I'm right, the Candadians aren't terribly fond of those in the US, and I know the Swiss don't like Germans.
Personally, I've got nothing against the English (even support their "soccer" team sometimes because ours is SO CR4P!), but I'd never admit that while standing in a Glasgow Pub!
As for what else is advantageous about being British.... C'mon man - you mean you don't wish you lived in the country with the highest rate of lung cancer and heart disease per capita on the planet? And where the climate is 10 months of winter and 2 months of bad weather??
Right, I'm off back to my sun lamp to finish my black pudding supper!!
