So true Dan but, I have to say an '05 vert for $17K is on the high side. Especially at 26k miles.

Unless it is exactly what you want I wouldn't pay it.
There are plenty of 05 verts in the $14k range with fewer or similar miles.

For an NA I would hold out for exactly what Iwant and in the $14K to $16K
For an SRT I would haggle mostly with myself and comprimise some on color or miles. Decent ones at good prices are getting harder to find. CGocifers is an excellent buy. Wish I needed one. I know I want another one. (SRT's are like sexy women. Once you have one, you want them all).

NA's are available everywhere. There would not be a better time than now. ESpecially for the convertible model.
I would travel to save $3K just about anywhere. Even Texas if I had to.

Truth is I got my best car deals out of Texas. Mostly highway miles on 'em and no salt.
