right on CTYankee...if you are close to the price you are willing to pay and the car is the right car, then pull the trigger...with one exception. If you have to finance a car, then don't get yourself upside down. Like it or not these little cars we all love are depreciating. So, don't spend over the market value, unless you are paying cash and are keeping it for a long time...the original car mentioned in this thread should have dropped 1K $$$ by now since 2010's are out. I wouldn't give over 16.5 for that car, and all the problems would have to have been repaired before purchase agreement signed. Just my .02....
One final argument to give to the dealer, is: discontinued model, no support from most Chysler dealers, parts are hard to find...and depreciation unpredictable...now, I just lowered my own offer to 15.5...I suggest you do the same if it is still available, and if it is still available, that should tell you something. Good luck with your purchase, we love these cars...
