So I came home and attached the plate to the bracket and secured it with VELCRO.
Went back to the station next day and showed the plate displayed.
Warning ticket cleared - no ticket issued.
Came home and took it off.
Well that worked this time ....
I never got a warning or a ticket for this, but it's probably because I had the dealer put the front holder on as soon as I got mine to Illinois. I guess Florida doesn't require them (where I got the car).
I would say to anyone that doesn't have there's on already and your state requires it, just do it. It really doesn't look that bad anyways.
And I know why they have these laws. They aren't really "silly" or "stupid" if you think about it. It makes it possible to have red light cameras, makes it easier to mount cameras for tolls, and just overall makes it easier for your car to be identified, whether someone is looking at you from the back or front.
