Thanks to Evan for his input on this.

If I go, maybe I could lead a group with this route on Sunday or Saturday for that matter. I will not be sure if I am going or not till the last minute. I may end up sleeping in the car - LOL

Attached is a possible XFire 2009 Sping Dragon Southern Route with the Hwy 28 leg to Franklin, NC and then back west to Robbinsville, NC. This small loop is used by several motorcycle clubs & local sports car clubs. I've been on the loop on a 2-wheeler and the Hwy 28 South to Franklin, NC is a blast to drive. Just as Itsky commented above, this stretch is often times as liked by bikers & sports car clubs as The Dragon Run. It only adds 50-60 miles to our normal Southern Route. We'd be back at Fontana Lodge around 4:30 -5:00 PM for the CICCI-sponsored BBQ event. I included a 20 min stop in Franklin for gas and 90 min in Robbinsville for lunch/gas. (Note: The summary statistics assumed a "spirited" driving profile. After all, we are XFires!)

We ought to do it!
