There's also gas available in & around Franklin, NC, which is only 48 miles into our proposed route. And as Itsky commented earlier, Robbinsville is just another 47 miles after Franklin and there's ample "fueling stations", both gas & nourishment.
But I also concur with Itsky that the best overall strategy is to fuel-up as you approach your arrival at Fontana Dam Lodge and then you're all set for the first driving event. The whole route is just under 210 miles. So all XFire models should make it easily with a full tank of hi-test.
And for those that don't want to travel this route, they can always take the normal route over to Robbinsville, enjoy their lunch, decide to continue on & meet us back at the lodge or wait for us and we'll all continue together.
