UK Press Release SRT-6 11 Feb 05
Crossfire gets a bit more muscle
A high performance version of the Chrysler Crossfire-theSRT-6- will arrive in the UK in April featuring a supercharged 3.2 V6 engine.
The hand-built 330 bhp engine includes a helical supercharger and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph, with 62 mph arriving in just 5.3secs
To handle the extra power, the Crossfire SRT-6 has performance tuned ride and handling and an upgraded 5 speed automatic transmission.
The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) has also been tuned for more spirited driving while up rated performance brakes allow theSRT-6 to go from 60 to 0 mph in just115 feet.
Lighter 15-spoke SRT alloy wheels (18 inch front and 19 inch rear) complete the SRT package, along with race-inspired leather heated seats and SRT-6 badging. A fixed spoiler replaces the retractable spoiler found on the standard vehicle.
The SRT-6 is priced from £34,335 for the Coupe and £35335 for the Roadster.
The price of the Crossfire Coupe and Roadster with the standard 3.2 V6 engine has also been revised for 2005. The Manual Coupe is £24,995 (£26,235 for the Auto) and the Manual Roadster £25,995 (£27,235 for the Auto)
ESP, cruise control, leather upholstery and air conditioning all come as standard.
Chrysler sold out of Crossfire Coupes and Roadsters in 2004 and residual values have held up well since the New Year.
Reducing the price of the standard vehicle by around £2000 is likely to make the new Crossfire model even better value in a hotly contested market.
In the UK Chrysler Crossfire customers will benefit from a piece-of-mind package which includes a comprehensive warranty and roadside assistance for 3 years/ 60000 miles, plus seven years anti-corrosion guarantee.
