Turn key to ON/ RUN position.
Within one second press the **** / button twice.
The present status for days or distance is displayed. Within 10 seconds turn the key to OFF / LOCK.
Press and hold the **** / button, while turning the key to ON/RUN again. The present status for days or distance is displayed once more. Continue to hold the **** / button.
After approximately 10 seconds, a signal sounds and the display shows 7,000 miles (11,000 km) for approximately 10 seconds.
Release the **** / button.
If the FSS counter was inadvertently reset, have an authorized dealer correct it.

This might be a good poll, how many people have had poor service experiences with their dealer? It is indeed pretty sad when car owners know more about the inner workings than those that are supposedly "trained" to work on them.
