Any dipstick who fails to realize that there is ALWAYS someone faster needs a serious ego adjustment. Those familiar with Top Gear and their "Cool Wall" understand this - no matter how cool a car might be in and of itself, if the majority of people who drive it have a serious attitude problem, then the car becomes uncool by association.
I meet a heck of a lot of car guys in my job, most of them are really cool whether they're driving a 1937 Cord, '42 Plymouth, '08 Ferrari, '84 GTI, '63 Vette or whether that car is worth $10k or $500k. Every now and then one of them turns out to be an uber-a-hole. All you can do is move on and concentrate on the good guys - the a-holes aren't worth wasting my time on.
