After a long search we found a piggyback (ebay junk) chip spliced into the stock ECU harness and tucked under the ECU. Found a name on the chip and called the company. Turns out it keeps the AFR at 14.7 and will allow 0 changes to timing, no matter what you do.
Is the customer the original owner of the car and put this in themselves, or did they buy the car used and not know about this thing on their car?
How would you say the car was running before all the work?
