Re: Simple Intake Mod / V-8 Airbox !
Just goes to show you how dumb you all are. The ford mod motor changes displacement by changing heads and cranks not the number of cylinders. Blocks are not machined from solid stock, they are cast in the configuration they are, ie a flat 6,v6,v8 etc. The only machining happens when you finish the block for assembly. As in decking, align boring ( making the holes straight and square to the crank ) etc. Intake manifolds for 6's and 8's are different sizes same as the blocks, they are also cast, and then machined. You can all call me all the names you want, but one or two of you ought to reach down and pull your head out of that warm dark place that makes you think you know what you're talking about and go learn something about engines. Saskins when you learn to do anything that makes sense (including how to SPELL) some of us might pay attention to you, otherwise you just sound like a kid. A not very bright kid. By the way the v8 to v4 means only 4 cylinders are firing when demand for power goes down, it doesn't mean you turn a v8 into a v4. I'm not going anywhere, maybe you should all grow up and try to learn something. If you don't like it when I call you on something, maybe you'll learn to find out if what you're saying is true or not.
