Exclamation Ignition problem, read previous threads, need help asap before work tomorrow!

I hate to beat a dead horse but I am in quite a key ignition paradox. My car is trapped at work 30 miles away and the key will NOT turn to position 1. Also, because of where it is in the parking lot it cannot be towed (since the wheel cant be turned to move it somewhere else). I have removed the electronic connections to the ignition/lock assembly. The only thing attaching it to my car is the steering wheel lock. The key will not turn to position 1, and apparently if I get the assembly off my steering wheel locks FOREVER?? Is there a protocol to follow for getting the assembly off when the key will not turn. It would be tremendously helpful if someone could help me tonight so I can try and get it off tomorrow after work.

I know there are a lot of threads on this, I just cant seem to find the information I need. I see the clamp holding the two together, but what will happen when I take the clamp off with the tumblers in the assembly and the key in position 0? Will i be able to simply pull off the assembly, and if not what would I need to do? Also, will any component lock out on me if I do this? Thanks a lot for your help guys!
