I just found an offer for sale for 2 covers described as follows:CF2 Crossfire 6" Speaker Grill Covers with Mount.
This could possibly answer one of my questions about the fact that the outer rim may be separated from the grill itself.
Would these be proper for my car? If so, let me know asap and I'll call the seller right away and buy them.
