I was watching one of the drag racing shows on speed channel awhile back. I don't remember the show, but they have a panel of 3 guessing times. Anyway, I guy brought his electric dragster there. It was a regular car, set up just like any other gas class car, slicks and all. If I remember correctly, and at my age, that is a challenge, it ran in the 10's...suprised the whole panel...burn out and all...pretty amazing. I have an engineering friend who built himself an electric dune buggy...he sneaks up on everyone. it is a 2 speed, does about 65...heat is the problem he is fighting, and charging it of course...
