I don't think that I will be letting the cat out of the bag if I tell you what Tony has in mind for the mods.
The car will have the rear of a Volvo 1800ES grafted on to the rear, the interior will be redone using Grey suede leather, all the glass, including the extra glass down the sides will be tinted The hood will be changed from a rear hinge design to a front hinge design. The new grille will be similar to the 1800 but feature the diagonal bar that we recognize as a Volvo styling feature these days. The bumpers will be replaced with chrome ones that come from the donor car and will meet current Transport Canada regulations. All the silver painted trim remaining will be refinished in chrome. All this chrome certainly adds the bling factor, I wonder why no one has thought of it before. Beaners coffee cup holder will be added inside and his CAI added under the hood.
I have to say that it is quite a major change and should bring a lot of comments from the more conservative forum members.
Personally I have always liked the 1800 series of cars and look forward to seeing this project come to fruition.
