i went to an electronics shop to replace that capictor for my cm30 and was told it was there to absorb any surge when the pump kicks on. my oem had burnt windings in it when it failed

and the BEST pump is the meziere pump, but it will be a custom install from the electrics to the hoses to the mounts. but it is the best on the market
