I pulled my bosch pump this morning and took it apart. The only issue I could see with it was the brushes. They were worn down to less than 1/4 of their original length. This may be why the pumps start getting intermittent as the spring that keeps the contact between the brushes and the stator no longer is keeping the brushes tight like they should be. I also saw that they have a small capacitor soldered across the pos and neg input this may act like a starter cap and could be going bad too. Anyway I am waiting on my johnson pump to arrive and will be interested to see if there is any diff in my IAT's since I have been watching them very closely I want to know if the johnson actually will keep things cooler. I will let you all know.
i went to an electronics shop to replace that capictor for my cm30 and was told it was there to absorb any surge when the pump kicks on. my oem had burnt windings in it when it failed
and the BEST pump is the meziere pump, but it will be a custom install from the electrics to the hoses to the mounts. but it is the best on the market
