Went to the gym the other night and forgot to turn off my headlights. Hard to notice since when you turn them off and get out of the car they stay on for awhile.

Came back an hour later and my headlights were still on. Sure enough my switch was still in the "on" position. Thank goodness I had a new battery and the car started right up.

Most of my modern cars would have shut the lights off after xx minutes even if the switch was left on.

Hopefully I learned my lesson.
