You are correct sir, thank you. I lived there for a few months after living in Wisconsin dells for about a year. That experience, along with the winter of 1995 is what really convinced me to leave.

I was a blackjack dealer at the Ho-chunk in Baraboo. Coming out of work at 4:00am to walk across an open parking lot when the temp was literally -40F, with the wind -60F. This lasted 2 weeks (2 separate 1 week runs of crazy weather) if I remember right, and I have been trying to forget it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the place in the summer, and the people are like nothing else I have come across in the rest of the US, but do to weather and politics I can never go back.

The craziest me and the wife ever got was riding around Augusta, GA with the top down in the frigid winter night temps of 55F with the heater blasting and our winter hats pulled down tight (called a chook in da UP).
