Say you park out on the street in the normal manner (passenger side next to the curb). You would turn on your left tail light to assist drivers in seeing your parked car better in the dark vs no lights on at all.
Not for LONG term parking of course.
I was at bar one night and someone told me my lights were on....I couldnt figure it out to save my life. I thought I installed my HID's in wrong. Turned out it was the parking lights. I was turning to far.
