Default Re: Snow drifting

Just thought I'd share a recent winter tale about my Xfire and snow which may help someone else learn from one bad experience. We had 24 inches of snow and that was just cleaned up and we received about 4 inches of slush and I was going to move the coupe from one garage to the other down the hill to make way for a new roadster.

Oh! I forgot to mention I have stock orginial Contis on and I have a 20 foot drop off which is about 20 feet from the garage. I live on a mountain slope. In this space I normally turn my cars around with no trouble. Well since this was my first experience with the Xfire in snow/ice, I just did what I normally do in the summer. Long story short I hit the brakes and the car just keep going. I just hoped it would stop before the drop off. With 2 feet to spare it stopped. Don't think I'll do that again. Scared the ***** out of me. Lesson learned. Xfire in snow, cold weather and ice on the roads requires a great deal of care with this car.
