Gas mileage appears to be biased based on what you consider "empty". I believe the E indicator (red area) on the fuel gauge is really another quarter tank of fule, but how do you really know? If it is another quarter tank of fuel, I wonder why the CHECK FUEL lamp comes on when it goes in the red?
