Has anyone tried an SL55 intake BUT removing the filters from the boxes, adding 3 " piping and have dual pods behind the grill? I'm thinking of trying that.

My theory....the SL55 box or even the stock boxes can fit more air in them (without there block filters) in the same length as the 3" NW pipe can, SO if you just add 3" piping to the box it and pair it with dual pods it should technicaly be able to carry more air then the dual 3" pipe set up.
