I drive the SRT only when the roads are reasonably clean & it's not snowing. The '04 gets driven almost daily by the missus (or myself - otherwise we go through serious withdrawal), snow or not. The SRT hasn't been driven since last Monday & now it's just setting in the garage.
I've never had any issues just letting it R&R in the garage whether it's a few days or several weeks (like Dec. '08 when we had record-breaking snows); it starts right up & performs like normal.
The garage door opener is pretty darn easy to set-up but, as mentioned above, it only works when the car is running.
