well, it may have a new battery, but I would start right there...take it to an auto store that can check out the battery that is in it now....if the battery is good, then alternator would be my next look...as well as all electrical connections starting at the battery, then all the ground wires, fuse boxes etc, etc....good luck, but those crazy things happen when the battery is drained...could have a bad cell...
