You should be getting more miles on your tires that 8-9K. Was the wear even? Sometimes the camber can be way out causing uneven wear. I have Falken's. Even though they are a soft tire, given the current wear and mileage, I estimate I will get about 15K out of them before I have to replace.
The wear was relatively even, however on occassion I found slight overinflation ,which could account for the centers being somewhat more worn. I really don't need the softer rubber compound of the Conti Sport Contact 3, for my style of driving, and I will be going with GY eagle fi a/s. They will also be more helpful in getting me out of a Minnesota winter, if I want to go after the snow flies
