Re: We have snow!!!
On Boxing day 1962 it started to snow in Herts and the snow came down consistently until early march with few thaws, England almost stopped moving at times. This was the worst snow that England had seen since 1946 I believe.
In January a friend had his motor cycle parked outside his house and a snow plow covered it with snow, not willing to dig it out that morning he went to work on the bus. He came home at night to find the snow banks gone along with his motor bike. The council told him that the snow had been dumped on the local soccer pitch so every few days he went to look for his bike, it was mid-March before he saw the handle bars sticking out of the snow. Miraculously the bike started and he rode it home.
I came to Canada in 1964 and we have snow, lots of it. The country knows how to handle it, snow plows, salt, snow tires and most learn the skills to navigate through it, for some as it takes a few days for these skills to re-emerge.
You don't really know what snow is, lucky for you. Slowly does it is the rule, stay safe out there.
