I got a 36 in a school zone of 25 a while back. Did a u turn and asked the cop why I was getting a ticket when I relaxed. Seems it was 4th of July in the middle of a week, a while back.
He said OH yeah, ok just scratch out the 25 and write in 30, I said no way and made him rewrite it. It became a non ticket in court. I brought up the ionital error in the officers mind that triggered the ticket. He was new and thought that I was John Freaking Dillinger or something till I gained m composure.

YOu pay these guys to do this so you should use the system and go to court, explain the deal and if your record is not that of evil kenievel youll probably do good. Never assume that it wont fly in court and dismiss it. To do that you need to wear a robe in public. Positive attitude and proper backup will help you. Find and document the changing of the limit so that you have that to plead dummy status IF IT LOOKS like you a chance with that.
