Sounds like you've had a bad experiance with buying a low mile car. (no I'm not bashing you, that's just what it sounds like)

Personally I bought my car for $13.5k (well, ~12.5 before tax tag etc). Had 35,000 miles, and they included a new set of Nittos for free. Not the BEST deal, but it's good enough for me.
