Default Re: DIY Transmission leak fix with photos... TA DAAaa

OK. here is the deal.
I can't find much on doing an ATF change DIY. I bought the fluid Valvoline NAG-1, and the filter w/ pan gasket(?, I believe) I was going to have my local Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep dealership do it for me, with the stuff I bought. I called them today hoping to make an appointment, but they are closing their doors on Friday and are all booked until then.

Anything else relatively close is 1 hour away. Crawfordsville(IN) has a crossfire technician at their dealership. I am afraid to drive the car very far because I have no idea how much fluid is still actually left in the transmission. There was a lot that leaked out, but not 8.5 qts.

So is it safe to drive an hour away?
Can anyone point me into the direction of changing the ATF, with pictures preferrably?
