Actually Musclefan, if you enlarge this photo you can see a cowl induction would work far better than most any scoop application. As I've posted before, scoops are mostly cosmetic, and the biggest reason I never chose to make mine functional.
Look closely at the 8 ribbons of smoke in the slipstream going over and under the car. Stream#1 goes under, stream#2 goes over the hood but seems to disperse (or disappear at the base of the windshield) into the cowl vent? Stream #3 clearly shows the gap of "Dead Air" that engulfs the entire car as it glides inches above the roof, and demonstrates why forward facing scoops need to be "above" the dead air to actually function properly.
