You know, my car has the same problem. I think yours is in the later stages but we have the same malady. You need to PM me every single mod you have (secret ones included) so I know what not to do. I'm told the best solution is take off the instrument cluster and remove the light. But I don't know the long term effects. Of course, it helps to keep the car indoors until the ice melts too. At least I read it somewhere on the turbo Yugo forums. BTW, this sunday is D-day for the strut bar. I'll let you know what it does or doesn't do.
