When I altered the CAI design of needswings to make the dual inlet to reduce the pressure losses with other designs, I considered all other approaches, including the cowl. There was no filtering room available and the front of the radiator had as much ram pressure as you could get, I measured it to be about 1inch of water collumn and that is not much gain overall. Ease of installation and service / filtering made the difference for my approach. Symmetry also made the design flow well for the eye also. Enjoy, W
