Has anyone been following this mess?.....I think if toyota dont stop f*cking around they will seriously see a hit in sales esp. In the United States.

WASHINGTON – Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is telling owners of recalled Toyotas to stop driving the vehicles and get them fixed.
LaHood's warning came Wednesday in testimony before a House Appropriations subcommittee on transportation. LaHood says his advice to owners is to "stop driving it.



To top it off they didnt intially issue this recall they got pressured by the government to issue it....thats like shooting yourself in the foot in my opnion.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - – Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak suggested Tuesday in media interviews that Toyota's troubles with a defective accelerator pedal may have to do with software, after his Prius sped up while in cruise-control.
"Since my foot never touches the pedal," Wozniak told ABC News, the problem "cannot be a sticky accelerator pedal.... There might be some bad software in there."

Wozniak, who founded Apple Computer -- now Apple Inc -- with Steve Jobs in the 1970s, said he tried unsuccessfully to get Toyota's and US authorities' attention after his 2010 Prius acceleration problems cropped up while he was in cruise control months ago.



If a apple co-founder told me I might have software problems....DING DING DING id be f*cking listening...hes not just talking outta his a$$...and then he called up toyota and no one would talk to him.....so I say let toyota sink....

But this also raises another question....with so many issues with these toyota models...if you were to crash now and it was due to a gas pedal problem....and that they have told everyone to stop driving them....would insurance pay out? or would that be on the driver because he was told to stop driving the car?? Interesting...What do you think?
