The only way around it is if the cop pulled in front of a line of traffic and slammed on the brakes. From the way it sounds....they were all in the same lane of traffic....that means you cannot run into the car in front of you (you didn't leave enough stopping distance...your fault) or beside you (you were not aware of your surroundings and swerved into another person's lane....again, your fault).


I absolutely love how everyone's answer to anything anymore is to just sue. Apparently personal accountability has gone out the window.
I think the sueing comment was tongue in cheek.
